This bowl came from a tree limb that went down during a wind storm on Oct 17, 2019 in Touro Park on Bellevue Ave, Newport, RI. The colors in ambrosia maple are caused by a reaction the tree has when invaded by the Ambrosia Beetle.

The bowl is 11 inches on the diagonal across the wings, 6.5 in bowl diameter, 3 inches tall, with 5/16” feet. My 3 footed design means it will never rock regardless of how the bowl may change shape from humidity changes. Though not meant for holding liquids, all my bowls are treated with food safe finishes.
