Made from the crotch between two branches from my next door neighbors Maple tree. Limb came down during a wind storm on Oct 17, 2019. The coloration is caused by a reaction the tree has to the presence of Ambrosia Beetle larva in the tree.

The bowl measures 7 3/8 inch dia x 2 1/8 inches tall, 10 across the widest portion of the wings. My footed bowl design means with its 3/8 " tall feet, it will never rock due to changes in shape caused by normal wood movement. Though not meant for holding liquids, all my bowls are treated with food safe finishes.
